SERMON SERIES

Week 1

“Sticky Love”

Jesus’ “sticky love” drew people to Him through humility, sacrifice, and service - even washing the feet of His betrayer. We were challenged to love others not based on convenience or worthiness, but with the same self-giving love Christ has shown us, pointing people back to Him.

Week 2

“Sticky Truth”

Jesus’ hard truth in John 6 divides people. Some reject Him, but true disciples cling to Him because His words are eternal life. Pastor Chris reminds us that truth demands a choice, and though it is hard, it is also beautiful because salvation is secure in God’s love.

Week 3

“Sticky Joy”

This sermon shows that true joy comes from forgiveness, as the sinful woman’s tears and devotion revealed her deep love for Jesus. In contrast to Simon’s lifeless religion, her response proves that those who are forgiven much overflow with lasting joy.

Week 4

“Sticky Power”

Unlike worldly rulers who seek power for themselves, Jesus uses his authority to heal, deliver, and redeem. Christ’s unmatched power brings freedom and transformation, and believers are called to share their testimonies and boldly trust the Spirit’s power to advance God’s kingdom.

Week 5

“Sticky Presence”

In John 4, Jesus meets a Samaritan woman at the well and shows that His presence brings satisfaction, truth, worship, and transformation to those unseen and lonely. His example calls us to truly see others with compassion and offer presence that points them to Him.

Week 6

“Sticky Hope”

In Luke 7, Jesus meets a grieving widow and restores her son to life, showing that true hope isn’t a feeling or perspective - it’s a person. Even in the most hopeless moments, Jesus steps into our pain with compassion and power, anchoring our souls in a living, unshakable hope.

The Sticky Series

WHY PEOPLE STUCK TO JESUS

We’re looking at the life-changing qualities that made Jesus irresistible to those around Him. People didn’t stay near Him only because of His power, but because His love, truth, joy, presence, and hope transformed lives and gave dignity where it had been lost.

Each week unpacks one of these qualities, showing how the same Jesus who was “sticky” then is still drawing people to Himself today. We are called to live in a way that reflects these qualities so others might cling to Him too.
