welcome to voyagers.
our story.
Our vision is to live as a church that Takes and Makes Refuge. We give grace, live generously and grow intentionally.
We are a gospel-centered community passionate about seeing lives transformed by the love of Jesus. Our mission is to equip people of all generations to embrace their God-given gifts and callings while partnering with local churches and organizations to meet needs in our city and around the world. Inspired by Jesus’ example, we strive to be a courageous, outward-focused community that leaves a legacy of love and faith.
Most of all, we believe the heart of the church is its people. Your story matters here. Together, we’re shaping the future of our community, and we’d love for you to be part of it.
Glorifying God, by Loving Jesus, One Another & the World.
what we believe.
-
We believe there is one God who eternally exists in three distinct but equal Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He is the creator and sustainer of all things, perfectly holy, infinitely wise, all-powerful, all-knowing, and deserving of all worship and glory.
(Deuteronomy 6:4; Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14; Psalm 115:3; Isaiah 46:10)We believe that God is sovereign over all creation and history, working all things according to His perfect will for His glory and our ultimate good.
(Psalm 135:5-7; Psalm 139:1-10; Romans 8:28; Acts 4:28; 1 John 3:19-20)
-
We believe that Jesus Christ, God the Son, took on human flesh in the incarnation, being conceived by the Holy Spirit and born of the Virgin Mary. He is fully God and fully man, perfectly uniting divine and human natures in one Person.
(John 1:1, 14; Matthew 1:18-25; Philippians 2:5-8; Colossians 2:9)We believe in the sinless life, substitutionary death on the cross, bodily resurrection, and ascension of Jesus Christ. Through His sacrifice, He bore the penalty of our sin, making eternal salvation available to all who believe in Him.
(2 Corinthians 5:21; Romans 3:24-26; John 20:25-27; Acts 1:9-11)We believe in the personal, visible, and bodily return of Jesus Christ, when He will establish His kingdom and bring ultimate justice and peace to the world.
(Matthew 24:30; Revelation 19:11-16; Revelation 20:4-6; Isaiah 9:6-7)
-
We believe the Holy Spirit is fully God, equal with the Father and the Son. The Spirit convicts the world of sin, regenerates sinners, and indwells all believers at the moment of salvation.
(John 14:16-17; John 16:8-11; 1 Corinthians 12:13; Romans 8:9)We believe the Holy Spirit equips believers for ministry through spiritual gifts, empowers them to live holy lives, and leads them into all truth as they grow in Christlikeness.
(1 Peter 4:10-11; Galatians 5:16-25; John 16:13; 2 Corinthians 3:18)
-
We believe the Bible, consisting of the 66 books of the Old and New Testaments, is the inspired, inerrant, and infallible Word of God. It is the final authority for all matters of faith, practice, and life, sufficient for equipping believers for every good work.
(Psalm 19:7-11; 2 Timothy 3:16-17; 2 Peter 1:20-21; Hebrews 4:12) -
We believe humanity was created in the image of God to know Him and reflect His character. However, through Adam’s disobedience, sin entered the world, and all people are born sinners, separated from God and subject to physical and spiritual death.
(Genesis 1:26-27; Romans 3:23; Romans 5:12-19; Ephesians 2:1-3)We believe salvation is a gift of God’s grace, received through faith in Jesus Christ alone. It is not the result of human works but the work of Christ’s atoning sacrifice and victorious resurrection. Those who believe are justified, adopted into God’s family, and given eternal life.
(Ephesians 2:8-9; John 10:27-30; John 3:16-18; Romans 8:15-17)We believe all who have truly placed their faith in Christ are eternally secure, kept by God’s power, and cannot lose their salvation.
(Philippians 1:6; Romans 8:29-39; John 10:28-29)
-
We believe the Church is the body of Christ, consisting of all who have trusted in Him for salvation. The Church exists to glorify God by worshiping Him, equipping believers, and fulfilling Christ’s Great Commission to make disciples of all nations.
(Matthew 28:18-20; Ephesians 4:11-16; Acts 2:42-47)We believe the Church is called to observe the ordinances of believer’s baptism by immersion and the Lord’s Supper, as acts of obedience and testimony to God’s saving work.
(Matthew 28:19; Romans 6:3-5; 1 Corinthians 11:23-26)We believe Jesus Christ is the head of the Church, and local churches are to be led by biblically qualified elders and pastors, supported by deacons.
(Colossians 1:18; 1 Timothy 3:1-13; Titus 1:5-9)
-
We believe that all Christians are called to grow in their relationship with God through prayer, the study of His Word, and fellowship with other believers. They are to live holy and Spirit-filled lives that reflect Christ’s character and bring glory to God.
(John 15:1-17; Galatians 5:16-25; Colossians 3:1-17; 1 Peter 1:15-16)We believe Christians are called to demonstrate love and service to their families, fellow believers, and the world, engaging in work that honors God and sharing the gospel with those who do not know Christ.
(Galatians 6:10; Matthew 5:14-16; Matthew 28:18-20)We believe that Christians are engaged in spiritual warfare and must rely on God’s Word, the power of the Holy Spirit, and prayer to resist the schemes of Satan and stand firm in their faith.
(Ephesians 6:10-19; 2 Corinthians 10:3-5; 1 Peter 5:8-9)
-
We believe that marriage is a lifelong covenant union designed by God between one man and one woman. Sexual activity is reserved for this union, and any deviation from God’s design is sin.
(Genesis 1:27-28; Genesis 2:24; Matthew 19:4-6; Romans 1:24-27; Hebrews 13:4)We believe that God created each person as either male or female, and this biological identity is a core aspect of their God-given design. Rejecting or altering one’s God-given gender is contrary to Scripture.
(Genesis 1:26-27; Deuteronomy 22:5; Psalm 139:13-16)We believe that all human life is sacred and created in the image of God, beginning at conception. Every person has inherent dignity and value, and we are called to protect and defend the vulnerable, including the unborn, elderly, and marginalized.
(Psalm 139:13-16; Jeremiah 1:5; Proverbs 31:8-9; James 1:27)
